Former Guns N’ Roses drummer Steven Adler has checked into rehab, forcing the cancellation of his 2013 summer tour.

His newest group, simply named Adler, addressed the cancellation on their website. A posts reads:

“We regret to inform everyone that the Summer tour and European tour has been postponed. Steven has checked into an undisclosed rehabilitation center to continue working on his sobriety. We appreciate everyones support and understanding. We hope to make the dates up soon.

This isn’t Steven Adler’s first battle with drug or alcohol issue. The drummer has struggled to maintain his sobriety for over two decades and has even appeared on VH1 programs Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew and Sober House.

Adler appeared on Guns N’ Roses’ first two albums – Appetite for Destruction and G N’ R Lies. He was fired from the band in 1990 due to his substance abuse issues and was replaced by Matt Sorum. Adler, along with former Guns N’ Roses members Slash, Duff McKagan, Gilby Clarke and Matt Sorum reunited in 2012 when they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Myles Kennedy filled in on vocals when the group performed “Mr. Brownstone,” “Sweet Child o’ Mine” and “Paradise City.”
